The deal, in plain English.
Last updated 12 September 2026
These terms cover the two things sold on out2u.com: the £50 mockup and the £300 hero section build. By paying for either, you agree to them. Please read them, they are short.
1. Who you are dealing with
Out2U is the trading name of Out2u Web Design, Taunton, Somerset, TA1 4YD. Email hello@out2u.com. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
2. The £50 mockup
- You pay £50 through Stripe and email us the address of your website.
- We build one scroll-scrub hero section using your own logo, colours, words and product, and send you a private link to view it.
- The link stays live for 7 days. It is a preview, not a file. It is not installed on your site.
- We aim to send the link within 2 working days, or sooner, of receiving your website address. We will tell you if it will take longer.
- If you go ahead with the build, the £50 is credited in full against the £300. We send you a separate link to pay the remaining £250.
- If you do not go ahead, the £50 is kept as the fee for the work done. You are free to copy the original idea. Nothing else is owed.
3. The £300 build
- Price: £300 in total, paid through Stripe. Either £300 in one go, or £50 for the mockup then £250.
- You get three designs for your hero section, each pulling in a different direction, and five rounds of revisions on the one you pick.
- The finished hero section is built to drop onto your existing website. It is not a rebuild of your site and does not touch the rest of your pages.
- We install it for you if your site lets us, or hand you the files and clear instructions if it does not. Tell us which platform you use before you pay if you are unsure.
- A revision is a round of changes to the chosen design. Switching to a different one of the three designs after revisions have started counts as a revision.
- Extra revisions beyond five, or work outside the hero section, are quoted separately and only done with your written go-ahead.
4. What we need from you
- Access to your logo, brand colours and any photos or video you want used, in reasonable time.
- Confirmation that you own, or have the right to use, everything you send us.
- Feedback on each round within 14 days. If we hear nothing for 30 days the job is treated as complete.
5. Cancelling and refunds
- Mockup: the work starts as soon as we receive your website address. Once we have started, the £50 is not refundable. If we have not started, email us and we will refund it in full.
- Build: you can cancel at any time before the first design is delivered for a full refund of the build payment (the £50 mockup fee is kept if the mockup was delivered). After the first design is delivered, we refund the build payment less a fair charge for the work done so far.
- If you are a consumer (buying for yourself, not for a business) you have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. By paying, you ask us to start work within that period and accept that if the work is finished within the 14 days you lose the right to cancel. If you cancel part-way, you pay for the work done.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, within 14 days.
6. Ownership and credit
- Everything you send us stays yours.
- Once the £300 is paid in full, the finished hero section is yours to use on your website for as long as you like.
- Unused designs stay ours. If you do not go ahead after the mockup, the idea in it is yours to copy; the files and code stay ours.
- Our tools, code libraries and techniques stay ours; you get a licence to use them as part of your hero section.
- We may show the finished work in our own portfolio and on this site unless you ask us not to in writing before delivery.
7. Your website
We only touch the hero section. We are not responsible for the rest of your site, your hosting, your domain, or changes your platform makes later that affect how the hero section runs. We will fix anything caused by our own work free of charge for 30 days after delivery.
8. Liability
We are not liable for loss of sales, profit, data or goodwill, or for anything we could not reasonably have foreseen. Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else the law does not let us limit.
9. Problems
If something is wrong, email hello@out2u.com first and we will sort it. If we cannot agree, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you pay is the one that applies to your job.
